The Rehue Foundation was founded in 1990 as an organization which gives support to small projects of the indigenous communities mapuche in Chile.
The foundation is an independent nongovernmental organization (NGO) on non-profit base.
Our mayor objective is to improve the life conditions of the mapuche communities.
The Rehue Foundation also attempts to protect, promote and defend the collective and individual rights of the mapuche people.
At the same time, the Rehue Foundation is trying to diffuse and to make accessible for everyone the knowledge of the mapuche history, culture and their struggle for self-determination and justice.
Since 1990 we have successfully realized a number of projects in Araucanía. At the present we are implementing the Project Agricultural Machinery in Labranza, province of Cautín.
The realization of our projects depends entirely on donations from particulars and institutions.
